2024 Terms and Conditions

ORIGINAL CONTENT 

CREtech assumes all entries are original and that the entrant either owns the work or has obtained permission from a client or other appropriate party to submit the work, with all rights granted therein. If an entrant submits an entry without such rights, the entrant will be disqualified from the competition. CREtech is not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the entrant. Entrants agree to indemnify and hold CREtech harmless from any claims arising out of the use of submitted materials.

PERMISSION FOR USE 

Winners acknowledge CREtech's right to use certain information for exhibition and publication in any medium. This includes, but is not limited to, RETAs contestants’ logos, images, and submissions in their entirety. Any information submitted in the “qualifying questions” regarding revenue, customers, etc., will remain confidential and will not be disclosed without prior consent from the entrant.

ACCESS TO APPLICATION DATA

Sponsors and judges of the RETAs will have access to the application data submitted by entrants. This access is granted to facilitate the judging process and to allow sponsors to evaluate potential opportunities for collaboration or support. By submitting an application, entrants consent to the sharing of their application data with these parties. All sponsors and judges are required to handle the data in accordance with applicable privacy laws and are obligated to maintain confidentiality.

VC AND INVESTOR JUDGES

Some of our judges are venture capitalists (VCs) and investors. However, these judges will not evaluate any companies that are within their current investment portfolio to avoid any conflicts of interest. This ensures a fair and unbiased judging process for all participants.

DEADLINES

Timely submission of an entry meeting the eligibility requirements as stated herein ensures that an entry will be reviewed and considered for recognition. No other representation or warranty is made by CREtech concerning entries, and all implied warranties are hereby expressly disclaimed. Entries apply to only one category each. Entries are non-transferable and non-refundable. All entries must be received by the specified deadline to be eligible.

ELIGIBILITY

The RETAs are open to all entities and individuals involved in the real estate tech industry. Employees, officers, and directors of CREtech, as well as their immediate family members and household members, are not eligible to enter.

WINNERS 

All decisions and awards are final and at the discretion of CREtech. If an entry receives an award, the manner and details of announcing such nomination and award are strictly within the discretion of CREtech. Entrants understand that all awards may not be given or publicized in the same manner.

Category winners are invited to attend CREtech’s New York Conference on November 13-14, 2024, at the Javits Center and produce one (1) 5-minute live demo during the conference. If a winner is unable to attend, they must notify CREtech no later than October 15, 2024.

Category winners will receive two (2) all-access passes to attend CREtech New York on November 13-14, 2024. If the winner has already purchased registrations, they will not receive refunds and can either invite additional team members or gift passes to clients.

PRIZES 

Marketing packages and prizes are awarded at the discretion of CREtech to grand prize winners, runners-up, and other applicants. Substitutions of award materials will be accepted at CREtech’s discretion and may be declined. Award recipient materials are non-negotiable. Prizes must be claimed within a specified timeframe; otherwise, they may be forfeited.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and the decisions of CREtech, which are final and binding in all respects. CREtech reserves the right to disqualify any entry for any reason, including, but not limited to, the violation of these Terms & Conditions or any applicable laws and regulations.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

CREtech is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, technical errors, human errors, or other issues that may arise in connection with the competition. Entrants agree that CREtech and its affiliates shall not be liable for any damages or losses arising from participation in the RETAs or the awarding, acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.

PRIVACY

Entrants' personal information will be used in accordance with CREtech’s privacy policy, available at www.cretech.com/privacy.
