Manhattan controls the national market for coworking, according to a recent analysis from CBRE.

About a quarter of all coworking space in the country can be found in the borough, according to the analysis. Manhattan's 13.5 million square feet of office space at the end of last year was the more than triple that of the next largest market, Los Angeles.

The borough's designation as the country's largest coworking market isn't surprising, given that Manhattan is also the country's largest overall office market. But CBRE's report does show how much coworking's rapid growth has been confined to a handful of major U.S. cities.
