WeWork launched a new real estate investment fund and is close to buying a massive development site in Austin, Texas, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The private fund, dubbed ARK, will be sponsored by WeWork and managed independently from WeWork Property Advisors, an investment vehicle the co-working company has been running in partnership with private equity firm Rhone Group.
