City's tech accelerators are turbo-charging local startups

If you're trying to stand out in a room full of investors, a little flash doesn't hurt.

That much was clear from the group of 13 startups vying for attention from venture capitalists at the recent Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator demo day. The event—part Shark Tank, part commencement ceremony—wrapped up a four-month mentorship program for firms working with ERA, the oldest and best-known of the city's growing list of tech accelerators.
