Prefab construction startup Katerra adds another design firm as it moves to upturn construction industry

Construction startup Katerra Inc. on Tuesday said it has added its second architectural firm in two weeks to help it reinvent the design and building industry.

The Menlo Park company has acquired architecture, interior design and planning firm Lord Aeck Sargent (LAS), which has offices in Ann Arbor, Michigan; Atlanta, Georgia; Austin, Texas; Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Lexington, Kentucky; and Washington, D.C. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
