The official CREtech New York app launches October 14 — your all-access pass to networking.

Each attendee will have access to our contact sharing tool inside the app. Think of it as a digital business card: scan fellow attendees’ badges to instantly exchange info like name, title, company, LinkedIn, and email. You can also add notes to keep track of conversations.

We do not distribute the attendee list. However, you can browse all opted in registered attendees directly in the app and connect on your own terms.

After the event, you’ll be able to download a PDF of the contacts you scanned during the show — yours to keep, no extra charge.

Please Note: Contact sharing is only available on-site in the Mobile App during the event

How it Works

The contact sharing feature allows attendees to quickly exchange information by scanning each other's unique QR codes. When someone successfully scans a contact, that person's details are automatically added to their personal "My Contacts" list within the CREtech app.

• The Sharing Process:
  
  • Scanning Other Contacts: Upon logging into the app, click on "My Contacts" tap "Scan New Contact," grant camera permission, and position their device over another participant's QR code (either on their event badge or displayed in their app).
  • Displaying Your QR Code: Users can either show their badge QR code, or can show their unique QR code through the "Show My QR Code/Badge" feature on the mobile app (accessible via the QR Code icon on the top left corner of the Explore screen). 
• What Information Gets Shared: The system exchanges public profile fields including:
  • Name
  • Job Title
  • Organization Name
  • Email Address
• When Contact Information is Shared: Contact details are exchanged immediately upon successful QR code scanning. Both parties typically receive push notifications when their information has been collected.
• Other Information:
  • Contact sharing is only available on-site in the Mobile App during the event
  • Attendees with hidden profiles cannot be scanned for contact sharing
  • Attendees have full control over their collected contacts and can add notes, bookmark, or delete contacts as needed
  • All contacts can be downloaded as a CSV file for post-event follow-up
  • Contacts are also included in the Post Event Summary pdf (downloadable via desktop and mobile app)
  • Contact details are available for 60 days post event

The official event app is live! Use the app to:

• View the agenda and floorplan
• Chat and connect with fellow attendees
• Share contact info onsite
• Explore sponsors and exhibitor profiles
• Manage your meeting schedule (available ONLY for participants of our Hosted Meetings Program)

You should have received login instructions to join the app. Your username is the email you used to register and your password is your confirmation number. 

How to Use the Chat Function

• Upon logging into the app, click on the "Chat" feature.
• Then, click the speech bubble icon in the top right corner to view the list of attendees.
• From this list, you can search for an attendee or company. Click the speech bubble next to the person's name to send a chat request.
  • Your own name will not be visible as you cannot initiate a chat with yourself but you are visible to others
• Accepted chat requests will appear in your "Active Chats," while pending requests you've sent are listed under "Requests Sent."
• You can view chat requests you've received under "Requests Received." Please note that you will not receive a notification for each incoming request, so it's advisable to check this section periodically.
• Another way to initiate a chat (onsite only) is by scanning another participant's badge using the "Contact Share" feature. This will add them to "My Contacts" and simultaneously open an active chat between you and that participant.

*Please Note: You cannot initiate a chat directly from the Organization and Attendee list; you must use the dedicated "Chat" function as described above. Chat functionality is only available in the CREtech New York mobile app, not on desktop.
